Incentives for those who use green energy 3 01 September 2022

A new step will be added to the steps taken to encourage Turkey to obtain the energy that it will need in the coming years from green energy sources.

As foreseen by the European Green Deal, incentives come to those who use solar and wind energy, after those who produce it. Those who turn to solar and wind energy will be given conversion credits. It will also be facilitated that individual productions are given to the city grid. According to the information obtained, "Green Energy" articles were also included in the law proposal study, which includes regulations regarding the field of many ministries. Accordingly, after the incentives given to those who produce green energy, which entered into force by being published in the Official Gazette last month, this time those who use it will be supported. Businesses that turn to green energy to prevent the climate crisis will also benefit from the incentive system. It will benefit from favorable credit conditions for this transformation.

Ease of Networking

In order to ensure the widespread use of this energy, it will be easier not only for large companies, but also for individual solar and wind energy production to be given to the city grid. Arrangements will be made to provide infrastructure for this. There will be provisions regarding the conversion to the city grid by distribution companies. Experts stated that for this study, plans for grid management such as 'use of battery systems, demand-side participation, system-oriented approach' should be made, and that solar and wind capacity can be increased by 6 times, with a small additional cost, without making a major change in the electricity infrastructure. Thus, by 2026, electricity to be produced from solar and wind will reach 31 percent of total consumption. When other renewable energy sources are taken into account, renewable energy will reach a level that can meet 53% of total consumption.

Land Sale Now

Another regulation to be included in the law will be related to the sale of some treasury lands. These lands, which are known as 'treasure residues' in the public, are mostly of interest to those who still use them. AK Party staffs explained this practice as follows: “There are places belonging to the National Real Estate called treasure residues. Treasure residues are mostly in places where immigrants came and settled in time, such as the Aegean region. For example, the area that is said to have been given to immigrants turns out to be more than known in later calculations. The cadastre looks at; The area is 110 acres, not 100. Citizens use these areas, which appear as 100 acres in the records. He built a house, built a barn. This surplus is called treasure trove. These will be sold to their owners on favorable terms.”
